Regulations

Regulations:
• ten minute default rule
• three minute warm-up
• five minute rest permitted after each game of match

Consolations:
Report to the registration desk for consolations. (after first round loss)

Defaults:
Players must be prepared to play their matches up to 30 minutes before their posted start times with due regard to the guaranteed 20 minute rest period between matches.
Players failing to report on court for their match within 10 minutes of the match being announced will be defaulted. Defaulted players may not participate in consolation matches for the event in which they defaulted.
For example, a player who defaults their first match of the singles event is only ineligible for the consolation singles draw. They are eligible to be considered for consolation draws in doubles or mixed doubles events.

Shuttles:
Yonex feather shuttles as approved by Badminton Canada. Unlimited shuttles (Yonex AS40) will be provided.

Eyewear:
Badminton Canada, Badminton Alberta and The Glencoe Club all strongly recommend that players wear protective eyewear.

Prizes:
Medals are awarded to winners and finalists of each event

Photography & Video Consent:
By registering for this event, you are agreeing to permit photographs and video to be taken of you (this could include use for promotional purposes by Badminton Alberta, Badminton Canada and The Glencoe Club).

Liability:

Participants agree not to hold the employees or members of the host club, Badminton Canada or Badminton Alberta liable for injury or loss associated with this event.
